WriteWords is introducing a new service called Writing With Me. It’s for writers who’d like the chance to work with a professional writer one to one, to help them achieve their dream of writing and publishing a book. It’s suitable for writers at all stages in their quest to become published, whether you’re just starting out or you’re nearly ready to send your manuscript out to publishers. You’ll get detailed feedback on how well your story idea works and lots of recommendations and tips to help you take your writing to the next stage.
Have you finished the first draft of your story? Are you finding it hard to move forward? Or have you finished a book and can’t decide whether it’s ready to publish? A reader’s report will help you through the maze. Your reader’s report will take a broad look at your story and give you lots of recommendations to make it even better. You can avail of a reader’s report if you’re working on a novel, a memoir or a collection of short stories. You just send in your manuscript, I will read it, and a couple of weeks later, you’ll receive a report with recommendations on it.
Your reader’s report will give you recommendations that will help you strengthen your plot, characters, settings and viewpoint. You’ll also get tips on how to describe the settings of your story more vividly. While it’s not an edit, your reader’s report will also flag up language and technical issues that you can clear up. Finally, you’ll get a verdict on the overall quality of your story and what you need to do make it ready for the world to see it.
